Sheriff Daniel Simon was appointed Acting Sheriff on May 3, 2010 and was elected Sheriff on July 13, 2010 in a special election. The primary job of the Sheriff’s Office is to preserve peace and protect the citizens of Lee County. Please note that Animal Control falls under the jurisdiction of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. If you have a complaint regarding an animal, please call 484-1723 or 911. If you have an animal that needs to be picked up or want to put an animal up for adoption, please call the Lee County Animal Shelter at 483.7387.
